Are any conditions not covered by pet insurance?
Most pet insurance providers will not insure animals with any pre existing conditions or common hereditary conditions. Some animals may also have common health issues that can increase the cost of your insurance or are exempt from the coverage.
Some pet insurance providers will not cover pets for long term treatments, e.g. cancer, or may increase your monthly premium at the renewal date.
Most pet insurance policies will not cover cosmetic procedures, behavioural problems, special diets, breeding, or routine surgical procedures such as spaying or neutering.
