Pet Medication
Just like humans animals get sick occasionally and you'll be likely to come home from the vets with some medication to give to your pet.
Always follow the instructions given on the medication and by your veterinary surgeon. Administer the full amount of medication to your pet over the number of days instructed.
You can buy pet medication cheaply on the Internet if you shop around. However, only do this if you are confident exactly which medication your animal requires.
Pet medication administered at home will normally come in the form of tablets, capsules, liquids or syrups.
To administer correctly:
- Always read the label correctly.
- Ask you veterinarian if the medication should be given with food or on an empty stomach.
- Try to get a friend or member of your family to help you.
- When giving medication to a dog or cat place the animal on a non-slip surface or hold them firmly on your lap.
